How can I 3D scan objects affordably?

Start with the phone or camera you already own instead of buying a dedicated scanner. A stable support, soft lighting, a plain background, and an optional consumer turntable cover most small-object capture needs.
- Choose an object that fits comfortably in frame and place it on CaptureDisc when you need stronger tracking or want to share a real-size View in Room experience on Android.
- Record a sharp 4K video while either moving smoothly around the stationary object or rotating the object and disc together on a turntable.
- Capture a full middle row first. Add higher and lower camera passes when the top, bottom edge, or complex shape matters.
- Upload the video to Optimal 360 and review the result before repeating the same setup for a larger catalog.
An interactive photographic 3D or 360 view is not the same as a downloadable polygon mesh for CAD or 3D printing. CaptureMesh is planned for later in 2026 and should not be treated as available today.
CaptureScale View in Room works on Android, with iPhone support coming soon. Version 3 accuracy improvements are planned for later in 2026.
How It Works
Simply capture and upload a video circling your object to generate a highly realistic 3D model viewer - no studio, no special skills required.
Record a Quick 4K Video
Film a short video circling your object with our special 3D photo scanning camera in the app. No special equipment or backdrop needed.
Upload into Optimal 360
Upload directly from the app. Our engine builds a smooth, interactive 3D / 360° model in about 15 minutes.
