How do I use CaptureDisc?
Place the object near the center of CaptureDisc and keep the patterned surface visible throughout the recording. The Optimal 360 capture app is available for iPhone and Android.
- For a turntable capture, rotate the object and CaptureDisc together while the camera stays steady. Record a complete turn in about 30 seconds or longer.
- For a handheld capture, leave the object and CaptureDisc in place and move the camera smoothly around them.
- Use soft, even light and keep the object sharp. A solid background is helpful for a studio turntable, but it is not required for every capture.
- Keep the complete object and enough of the disc in frame. Avoid motion blur, sudden camera moves, and changes in zoom.
- Upload the recording to Optimal 360 for processing.
Optimal 360 recognizes CaptureDisc automatically when it is visible in the footage. There is nothing to pair and no special capture mode to select.
CaptureScale View in Room is available on Android. Share a capture so someone can see it in their own space with augmented reality. iPhone support is coming soon.
