What is CaptureDisc, and how does it improve 3D capture?

CaptureDisc is a passive photographic reference that sits beneath an object during capture. Its known shape and visible pattern give photo-based reconstruction more features to follow from frame to frame.
Concept illustration: Those visual anchors can improve pose estimation—the software's estimate of the camera position and direction. That is especially useful for difficult turntable captures and can improve the resulting 3D view.

CaptureDisc supports the capture; it does not remove the need for sharp focus, complete coverage, steady motion, and suitable lighting. Highly reflective, transparent, fuzzy, or nearly featureless objects can still be difficult.

CaptureScale View in Room is active on Android today, with iPhone support coming soon. CaptureScale version 3 accuracy improvements, CaptureMesh exports, and CaptureMatch color-reference processing are planned for later in 2026. Existing showcase color controls are separate from CaptureMatch.

How It Works

Simply capture and upload a video circling your object to generate a highly realistic 3D model viewer - no studio, no special skills required.

1

Record a Quick 4K Video

Film a short video circling your object with our special 3D photo scanning camera in the app. No special equipment or backdrop needed.

2

Upload into Optimal 360

Upload directly from the app. Our engine builds a smooth, interactive 3D / 360° model in about 15 minutes.

3

Share or Embed

Share with a link, embed in your store, or post on social media. Your 3D showcases work anywhere on the web.
